Great weekend at Blackhawk Farms for the CCS / ASRA Midwest Finale race even of the season!

Very proud of everyone’s efforts.
The lap times are looking good again as riders are really stepping it up.
The competition is great in so many classes.
The battle for the overall #1 plate was fierce as ever between Drew Jankord and Jody Barry.

It’s not official yet as it hasn’t been posted by CCS but according to Drew’s numbers it looks like Jody come out on top. Drew lost by the narrowest margin to me last year and it looks the same this year as well.
Jody was able to make up a 150 point deficit going into weekend by running every single race this weekend. Jumping from his ZX6R to a 300 Ninja to a SV650.
Great work by Jody and Drew to battle out the pints in all those races.
Jody came out on top winning most of all his races and setting his personal best and fastest lap time of the weekend with a 1:08.9!

The ASRA Sportbike race was a great race to watch as the top 3 Farrell Performance ZX6R riders Jody Barry, Tony Storniolo and Josh Rom battled to the finish within .4 of a second between the top 3 at the line. All three riders posted their fastest times of the weekend and all on Pirelli tires. Matter of fact every rider in the class were Running Pirelli Supercorsa Tires.
Dave Collins on his R6 was riding up front early on until has brakes gave him trouble forcing him to slow his pace.

ASRA Superstock was another great race to watch! Zac Schumacher on his R1 took the holeshot and gave it his best run to get away from Tony Storniolo on his ZX10R. Tony clicked off some great laps and chased down Zac waiting to put on a pass move.
Zac ran wide into turn 7 opening the door for Tony to take the lead and pull away to a 3 second lead.
Tom Girard took a lonely ride with is new R1 to place 3rd on the podium. Not bad for his first weekend on the bike with minimal time. All 3 riders were on Pirelli Superbike Slick SC1 for the race. Pirelli Tires we’re mounted on 8 of the top 10 bikes!

ASRA Thunderbike was a great race as the ever fast Kevin Van Engen took his ultra fast SV650 to a 6.5 second margin of victory over Jody Barry and Ray Hofman. Might have been Kevin’s last victory in the class as he has unofficially announced his retirement from serious racing. Pirelli swept the podium in that class as well.

Pirelli Tires took 10 out of 12 expert ASRA podium spots this weekend.
According to my figures as of yet Pirelli Tires took the top 10 overall in points in the Midwest.

Let the results speak for themselves. It’s nice to know that your hard work shows in the results.

I didn’t roll one lap this year at a Midwest event race. Yeah I miss racing no doubt. I needed a season off. Maybe another season off as well.
We will see what next season brings.
